It was two o’clock
in a dark and rainy morning when the phone rang. A man’s voice came through the other side
of the telephone: “You need to wake up now. You must leave your flat quickly!”
It was an unknown voice. The man was agitated, shivering, when he talked. Then he
said: “They are here, they are looking for you”. And he hangs up.
At the
beginning I thought it was a nightmare. So I decided to go back to sleep as I had
had a particularly busy day and I was really tired.
But then
the phone rang again, it was the same voice “I told you needed to leave your
apartment right now”, said the man, this time obviously stroked.
Then I
realized that I knew that voice from somewhere, it was familiar to me.
“Yes, you
know who I am”. I felt terrified, and immediately, I went downstairs to find
what was happening there. But there wasn´t nothing at all.
The next
morning I came across my friend Alex, who was laughing at me, so I asked him
why he was so amused. He told me that the night before he had been calling to all
his mates just to play a prank.
Then I realized
it was April fool´s day.
