Malala Yousafzai, is a Pakistani schoolgirl from the Swat Valley, in the
northwestern part of Pakistan. The Talibans tried to assassinate her on 9
October 2012. Her
father ran a school for girls in Mingora, a town caught in the middle of
fighting between Taliban forces and the Pakistani army. The first time we hear something about her
was when she wrote a diary for the BBC about the terrible things she established as the Taliban closed schools for girls, forbade women
from shopping at the public market and murdered anyone who got in the way.
Some weeks ago, as she was leaving school on a bus, Malala and three
other girls were shot by gunmen. Malala was clearly the aim as they asked
for her name. Malala was
taken to England for surgery, and to get her out of harm's way.
Yes, it has been said many times that the war against terrorism is a war
for the hearts and minds of people in the Islamic world. In one hand the Taliban, does savajeries in schools
to force men to grow beards, and then they physically abuse women who do not
comply with their rules. In the other hand, they have no respect for human life or liberty. Women
are treated as subhuman.
I strongly belive that nowadays to have a career will help us in the future. And just because of the fact of being a woman they should
not deny neither the education , nor the studies ,as we have fought many years
for our rights and now no one can remove them.
